My Recommendations-
Pantai Morib Beach current state is extremely unappealing, and that the key factor to why it is losing tourists. I believe, with enough attention and the proper care for the beach, it can once again return to its original glory.
Firstly I would recommend beach nourishment. This would make the beach even and also provide more sand to the cost . Although it will not prevent erosion, it will increase the length of time it would take for the coastline to recede.
Another important step to make the beach more appealing would be to clean it up.This can be done by putting up signs around the beach and by providing the beach with proper disposal services that are regularly cleared out. Although there is no guaranteed that people will do the right thing and dispose their litter this would be a rather major step towards having a cleaner beach and environment.
I would also recommend that the government spend some money to refurbish the sea wall as it is slowly deteriorating. I would suggest that they install gabion in front of the sea wall for stronger defence and protection against high tides. In my opinion this extra gabion would help to prevent erosion.
The removal of the riprap sea defence on the beach should be taken in consideration as it looks very unapealing and spoils the mood of the beach. Instead i would suggest that a stone/boulder wall would make a good replacements. There should also be a fence installed in order to prevents accidents that may lead to harm to the tourists.
